Booking rules, bay capacity and closures

Updated 10 August 2026

Three settings shape what the public calendar offers.

Auto-confirm

On (default): bookings confirm instantly. Off: they arrive as requests you approve. Most workshops leave it on — customers strongly prefer instant certainty.

Capacity

Bay capacity is how many jobs can overlap at once — a slot only disappears from the public page when it's genuinely full. You can also hold bays back from online booking to keep room for walk-ins and phone jobs.

Booking window & closures

The booking window caps how far ahead customers can book. For holidays, RDOs or a bay out of action, add a closure in Settings → Hours & closures — closed time vanishes from the public calendar immediately.
