Why didn’t my customer get a text?
Updated 10 August 2026
An expected text that didn't arrive is almost always one of four things:
- SMS is off for the workshop — check the toggle in Settings → Notifications.
- The customer didn't opt in — the SMS box on the booking form wasn't ticked. No consent, no text; that's the law working as intended.
- The customer replied STOP previously — they're opted out across the board. They can text START to the same number, and a fresh opt-in on their next booking re-enables texting.
- The booking wasn't made on your public page — manually-created bookings don't send SMS.
Also worth knowing: SMS only goes to Australian mobiles (04xx numbers) — landlines and international numbers can't receive it, and we validate this at booking time so nothing is silently lost.
If you've checked all four and something still looks wrong, email us — we can trace an individual message end-to-end.
