How cancellations work
Updated 10 August 2026
Cancellations behave differently depending on who cancels and when.
Customers cancelling
Every confirmation email includes a manage link where the customer can cancel — up until the booking's start time. Past bookings can't be cancelled from the customer side, so an old link can't disturb your history.
You cancelling
Cancel from the booking's detail view. The customer is emailed automatically — with one deliberate exception: if the booking ended more than three days ago, no email goes out. Tidying up last month's diary shouldn't message customers about appointments long gone; recent cancellations still notify, since that email doubles as the paper trail.
What cancellation never does
Nothing is deleted. Cancelled bookings stay in your history with their status, and the freed slot goes straight back into availability for someone else to book.
